How Pound-for-Pound (PFP) Rankings Work
A guide to how Pound-for-Pound scoring works
Pound-for-Pound compares every Hero and Villain ranking across every character. This means you're not only competing against players on your own leaderboard, you can also compete with players from every other character. Duelist rankings are not included.
- Character Ranking Your position on your character's leaderboard is the biggest factor. The higher you rank compared to other players using the same character, the stronger your PFP score.
- Career Votes Your lifetime votes on that character also matter. Players with more total career votes receive a higher score, especially when compared with the strongest vote totals across the entire site.
- Character Competition Some characters have far more ranked players than others. Performing well on a highly competitive leaderboard is rewarded more than achieving the same placement on a smaller one.
- Top 8 Bonus Finishing in the Top 8 on your character gives an extra boost to your PFP score. The #1 player receives the largest bonus, with slightly smaller bonuses for each position down to #8.
Final Rankings
All of these factors are combined into a single Pound-for-Pound score. Every Hero and Villain assignment is then ranked together on one global leaderboard.
If two players finish with the same score, ties are broken in this order:
- Higher character leaderboard position
- More career votes
- Better placement relative to others on that character
PFP rankings update automatically whenever votes or leaderboard positions change.
